How flexi hire works for business.

The basic structure

Flexi hire typically operates on a 28-day rolling basis. You hire the vehicle for a minimum initial period — usually one month — and then continue rolling with the option to return the vehicle once your notice period is served. There is no fixed contract end date, which makes it practical when the length of the requirement is genuinely uncertain.

What flexi hire suits well

It fits businesses covering a temporary uplift in work, filling a gap while a longer-term decision is made, or dealing with a requirement that is real but whose duration is still moving. It also suits growing businesses that want access to a vehicle before they are ready to commit to a structured longer arrangement.

What it does not solve

Flexi hire carries a premium over longer-term routes because the supplier absorbs more of the uncertainty. If your vehicle requirement is expected to stay in place for 12 months or more and is reasonably predictable, a long-term hire arrangement will almost always work out more commercially efficient. The right choice depends on how certain your demand actually is — not on which option sounds more flexible.

How the introduction works

When you submit your requirement through UVH, we review it and introduce you to a single independent supplier best placed to help with a rolling arrangement in your area. You deal directly with them from that point. There is no comparison site, no auction, and no intermediary sitting in the middle of the arrangement.
